This policy explains how LLCNameAvailability.com handles information when you use our name checker, read our guides or contact us. The site is an independent name-preparation tool and does not require an account.
Information used for name checks
When you submit a check, your business name candidates and selected state pass through our server to a third-party name-check service. We use its response to display a preliminary result; we do not search the state's database directly. Please enter business name ideas only, not passwords, identification numbers or other sensitive personal information.
Our application does not create an account-based search history or store a server-side shortlist. Processing a request still involves our hosting provider and the name-check service, which may handle technical records under their own policies.
Names saved in your browser
If you save a name, your browser stores the shortlist on your device using local storage. Saved information can include the name, state, check result, check time and any selected LLC ending. Up to 25 names can be saved, with no account or cross-device sync.
Saved names remain until you remove them or your browser clears the site's data. People with access to the same browser profile may see them. If browser storage is unavailable, the temporary shortlist can be lost when you close the page.
Copying a summary puts it on your clipboard, and downloading a summary creates a text file on your device. Clearing the shortlist does not remove those separate copies.
Hosting, security and technical records
Cloudflare hosts and protects this website. Serving requests, preventing abuse and diagnosing errors can involve IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs, timestamps and technical logs. Our application also uses IP addresses temporarily to limit repeated name-check requests.
Operational logs and sampled traces are enabled for troubleshooting. We do not intentionally write submitted name candidates into application logs, but hosting or third-party service records may contain request information. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for its handling of end-user data.
Cookies and measurement
The current site does not include a visitor analytics tracker, advertising pixel or session-replay tool. The shortlist uses local storage rather than a tracking cookie. Infrastructure providers may use security-related cookies when needed to protect the service.
External and partner links
If you choose a formation partner link, it passes through an affiliate network before reaching the partner. That link includes the selected state and a referral label, but we do not put your checked business name or saved shortlist into it. The network and destination may process your IP address, referral information and cookies under their own policies.
Official state websites and other external services have their own privacy practices. Information you enter after leaving this site is handled by that service. Our Terms of Use explain the role of external services.
Email and privacy requests
If you email hey@llcnameavailability.com, your email address and message are used to respond to your request. Do not include sensitive documents or identification numbers. Email is handled by the email services involved in sending and receiving it.
You can remove saved names through the shortlist or clear this site's data in your browser. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information we hold. Contact us to make a request; we may need information to verify it, and we cannot retrieve or erase copies stored only on your device.
Retention and processing locations
We keep correspondence as needed to address the request and any related legal or security obligations. Technical record retention depends on the relevant provider and service settings. We do not promise that submitting a check leaves no technical records.
Service providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children and policy changes
This site is intended for adults preparing business names, not for children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.
